Abstract:
A 55-year-old male, with medical history of ischemic cerebral stroke, presented with dyspnea and chronic cough. Contrast enhanced (CT) scan was performed and a congenital anomaly of the inferior vena cava (IVC) was evident: there was a left inferior vena cava with retro-aortic right renal vein (RRV). Hepatic and infra-hepatic segments of the IVC were absent and the hepatic veins were draining directly into the right atrium . We notice azygos and hemiazygos continuation of IVC. Enlarged azygos vein joins the superior vena cava (SVC) at the normal location at the right para-tracheal space
