Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is an advanced and minimally invasive interventional procedure which allows en bloc removal of pre-cancerous lesions and non-invasive cancers of the digestive tract. We report the case of a 38 year old women who benefited from ESD for the resection of a centimetric sessile rectal lesion. The procedure was performed in direct vision and retroflexure. Patient was discharged in the following 24hours. Follow-up was uneventful. Histology concluded to a neuroendocrine tumor, grade 1, R0. Thoracic, abdominal and pelvic CT scan showed no secondary lesions. It was decided to follow up patient regularly with no need for adjuvant treatment. This is the first case of ESD performed in Morocco.
